Chris Venzon

This is the official column of Chris Venzon. Nothing great can be accomplished without great enthusiasm. Saved and born again by His grace. Hosted the "Young Gunz Radio" show on ESPN 1510 in Kansas City. Former Editing Producer for "Wolfbyte TV."  Proverbs 27:2
 
 

Chris has dreamed of becoming a sports broadcaster for a network television station since he has been six years old. His passion for journalism has led him to various opportunities in Kansas City, Charlotte, and New York. 

 

In high school, Chris has worked with NBC Golf Channel, White Sox Television Comcast, WHB 810 Radio, ESPN 1510 Radio, the Huntersville Herald, and numerous small businesses and charities. He was most notably associated with ESPN 1510 and C.A.P.S. or the "Center for Advanced Professional Studies" where he studied broadcast journalism under Bruce McRoberts. He was the editing producer of his school's closed circut television show "Wolfbyte TV."  There he also created the weekly Blue Valley Southwest High School sports show, "The Xtra Point." Chris also hosted a high school sports radio show called "Young Gunz" on ESPN 1510 in Kansas City. It was the first ESPN Radio show hosted by high school students during weekday hours in history. In the summer of 2015, he worked full time producing videos for ShotTracker. He enjoys sports, family, and his faithful dog, Winston.

 

Chris' attends Syracuse University's SI Newhouse School of Public Communications studying Broadcast and Digital Journalism. He is involved at CitrusTV, WAER, Z.89 and WERW. Executive producer of CitrusTV's live post-game show "Orange Press Pass."
